"Changing One Life at a Time"

Dear Friends and family,

Hope that you are all doing well. We want to wish all the mothers "Happy Mother's Day."

Updates on the country of Myanmar:

In the year 2021 Myanmar Military ruler overthrew the democratically elected government and seized power in a military coup. Since October 2023, fighting between the military and People Defense Force (PDF)had been at full force. There are over 50,000 people killed by bombing and airstrikes, and over 2.6 million people were driven from their homes.

Humanitarian crisis is at an all-time high: displacement is at an all-time high, humanitarian needs are spiraling out of control, about 1/3 of children in Myanmar cannot access to education due to lack of access to schools or the threat of airstrikes. There's also a lack of health care, and lack of job which causes even some of our mission church members to beg on the street.

How is this affecting the work of MSM:

1. Parents are asking to bring their kids to the MSM education center. Which means we need more teachers, more volunteers, more supplies, and bigger locations to give education to these kids.

2. Extreme inflation is really hard on everyone which causes MSM to stretch thin with all the funds we have to provide for our 6 locations. Even basic foods are hard to come by, they need food to survive.

3. There is always a fear of not knowing when the military government might shut us down or come and get one of our young men.

But each day is a blessing. We praise God every day that we are able to carry on the work in the midst of all these.

What can we do:

1. Pray.

2. We have started a fundraising for disaster relief to provide basic food

3. Help with supplies: Bibles, school supplies, water wells

4. Commit to help with monthly support

5. Make it awareness of war in Myanmar

Praising God:

But in the midst of all these difficulties we still praise God because He allows the MSM team to continue to do mission works as much as we can. Everyone on our team is doing well physically and spiritually. We have seen more people come to Christ since 2021. We have seen MSM has been able to give the people a gleam of hope in the midst of everything. Now is a great opportunity for MSM to reach out and evangelize.

Thank you for all your support. Please continue to pray for this mission.

On behalf of MSM.
